The Ultimate Carnivore Pizza: A Meat-Lover’s Dream

If you’re following the carnivore diet and missing the indulgence of pizza, you’re in for a treat. 🍖🍕 My friend Shawna made this pizza and sent me the pic. 📸 Shortly after, I was making my own and writing this up for you. ✍️

Forget about crusts made from almond flour or cauliflower—this pizza is 100% carnivore-approved, 🥩 featuring nothing but delicious, nutrient-packed animal-based ingredients. 🧀🍖 Let’s dive into how you can make the ultimate carnivore pizza at home. 👨‍🍳🍕

Ingredients

For this meat-based masterpiece, you’ll need:

  1. Crust:

  • 1 lb ground chicken or pork (ground beef works too, but chicken crisps up nicely!)

  • 1 egg (to bind)

  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

  1. Sauce: (optional) - there are lots of options here, below is what I did though

  • 1/4 cup blended bone marrow

  1. Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or more if you’re a cheese lover)

  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits

  • 1/2 cup ground sausage, cooked and crumbled

  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices

  • Optional: Thinly sliced steak, prosciutto, or additional cheese

Instructions

  1. Make the Crust:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or pork, egg, and shredded parmesan. Mix until it forms a sticky dough-like consistency.

    • Place the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza pan. Spread it out evenly to form a thin crust.

    • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden and the crust is firm to the touch.

  2. Prepare the Sauce (Optional):

    • For the bone marrow base, blend the softened marrow into a smooth consistency and season with a pinch of salt.

  3. Assemble the Pizza:

    • Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool slightly.

    • Spread a thin layer of your sauce (or skip this step for a no-sauce version).

    • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella over the crust.

  4. Add the Toppings:

    • Distribute the cooked sausage, bacon bits, and pepperoni slices evenly over the pizza.

    • Feel free to get creative and add slices of steak, prosciutto, or extra cheese for more protein-packed goodness.

  5. Bake Again:

    • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

  6. Slice and Serve:

    • Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice it into your preferred portions. Enjoy your guilt-free, carnivore-approved pizza!
